Shell and ExecuJet announce refueling partnership at Zurich
Shell Aviation and ExecuJet Europe have entered into an exclusive Business and General Aviation refueling partnership at Zurich International Airport, effective this month.

With Zurich International Airport being consistently one of the largest GA locations within the European network, this expansion is a key milestone in the overall growth plan for Shell's general aviation segment. Securing this location further strengthens Shell Aviation’s fuelling network, which is one of the most extensive in the world with over 800 locations globally.

"Shell Aviation's new partnership with ExecuJet Europe is a win-win situation for both parties," said Melanie Lane, General Manager Aviation - Europe at Shell. "The prominent location of Zurich International Airport within the private aviation sector is an excellent addition to the existing Shell fuel network. ExecuJet is the ideal partner for this location given their impressive safety record, quality of service and deep understanding of the general aviation market.”

Zurich International Airport simultaneously hosts the headquarters of the Swiss Air-Ambulance Rega, located next to the buildings of ExecuJet. Within the scope of the new exclusive agreement between Shell and ExecuJet, Rega will likewise be supplied with Shell fuels.

With a fleet of 17 helicopters and three aircraft, Rega is on standby around the clock to provide medical assistance to persons in need. The non-profit, independent and privately-run foundation was established in 1952 and is firmly entrenched in the Swiss population with as many as 2.5 million patrons.

Gerrit Basson, Managing Director ExecuJet Europe, said: “We are delighted to partner with Shell Aviation to offer our customers the Shell fuelling service. Having Shell’s support at our Zurich FBO enables us to continue to offer the highest levels of service to our customers. At ExecuJet, we understand how convenience, efficiency and personal service are a winning combination, while recognising the importance of providing fuel at competitive prices.”
