RAS Completions win Gulfstream paint and refurb approval

RAS Completions, based at Biggin Hill Aiport, has taken a major step forward in their aerospace business by winning official approval from Gulfstream for the painting and refurbishment of all aircraft in the Gulfstream business jet range.

In parallel, their sister company - RAS Interiors Ltd - has been approved for the manufacture and installation of items relating to aircraft interiors.

RAS' first customer following the approval was a G550 from the NetJets fleet that entered the company's Completions facility last month. The aircraft was stripped to bare metal and received a new livery in the NetJets style; a process that involved three weeks of carefully programmed work and also included interior modifications.

Chris Ransley, a Director of the RAS Group, says that the award of these approvals will bring welcome opportunities for new business.

“The RAS Group is thrilled to be recognised for good workmanship in this way and we now look forward, in particular, to supporting Gulfstream’s European customer base. We expect the higher level of work to contribute to sustainable growth of our company and to bring new jobs as well” says Chris Ransley.

RAS Completions and RAS Interiors currently have a skilled workforce of 25.
