Universal Aviation rebrands as Affinity Aviation

Universal Aviation has rebranded as Affinity Aviation, with the Evans family-owned FBO and ground support business beginning a phased transition across its global network.

The company operates more than 75 locations in over 20 countries. The new name was announced at NBAA-BACE 2026 in Las Vegas and will replace Universal Aviation progressively through 2027.

The Evans family will continue to own and lead the business, which has more than 65 years of experience in business aviation. The company said the rebrand would be accompanied by continued investment in facilities, personnel, safety and operational capabilities.

Several major infrastructure projects are under way. In Saudi Arabia, the company has begun operations at a new general aviation terminal and FBO in Dammam, the first of three planned facilities in the Kingdom.

Further developments are planned in Jeddah, including an approximately 108,000-square-foot private aviation hangar, and Riyadh, where a dedicated private aviation lounge and ground handling operation are planned.

In Spain, construction is under way on a 53,800-square-foot hangar at Madrid-Barajas Airport. The facility is intended to accommodate aircraft up to BBJ size.

In Mexico, the company has opened a new FBO and hangar complex at Guadalajara International Airport. The 362,000-square-foot development includes a 51,700-square-foot general aviation hangar and expands the airport's capacity for business aircraft handling and basing.

Other investment includes facility upgrades in Milan and Paris, improvements to lounge facilities and personnel at its Venezuelan operation, and expansion in the Dominican Republic, including a new FBO in Samaná.

The transition to Affinity Aviation

The company said the rebrand reflects plans to improve coordination across its international network while retaining local expertise and established customer relationships.

Customers will initially see the new identity across digital channels, followed by changes to facility signage, uniforms and operational communications. Universal Aviation and Affinity Aviation names may appear together during the transition.

The company said customers and partners would be contacted in advance of any changes to operational information, billing or other processes requiring action.
