Wichita, KansasTextron brings mobile support teams under single leadership |
Textron Aviation has brought its Mobile Service Units, Go Teams and 1CALL operation together under a single management structure, in a move aimed at improving coordination of field maintenance and aircraft-on-ground (AOG) support.
The realignment, prompted by customer feedback, places the teams under Seth Persons, general manager of the Mobile Service Network.
The combined operation is intended to improve coordination between initial customer contact and the deployment of technicians, helping connect aircraft operators with the appropriate technical support when assistance is needed away from a service centre.
The network provides AOG response, technical troubleshooting and selected maintenance at aircraft locations. Technicians supporting Cessna, Beechcraft and Hawker aircraft also have access to Textron Aviation's engineering teams, technical publications and other resources across its global service network.
The operation includes the 1CALL team and more than 50 Mobile Service Units and Go Teams positioned across the network.
Textron Aviation said the new structure is designed to provide a more coordinated response to customers requiring field support.
