Air Charter Expo launches Regional event in Germany

Air Charter Expo Regional-Europe debuts within AERO Friedrichshafen 2027

Air Charter Expo Regional-Europe was formally announced by Show organisers The Air Charter Association and Business Air News at Air Charter Expo (ACE26) at London Biggin Hill Airport on 8th September.

It was a highlight for the UK show which surpassed a record 2,100 visitors, from 62 nations, bolstered with a fully booked aircraft static.

Heralding the collaboration, Glenn Hogben, Chief Executive of The Air Charter Association commented: “We are delighted to be debuting our first Air Charter Expo Regional-Europe at AERO 2027 in Germany with a dedicated two and a half days of networking and educational workshops for the air charter community.

"This is a great opportunity for our growing, global membership.” Tobias Bretzel, Show Director of AERO at Fairnamic GmbH added: “Bringing together two established and growing event brands during April 14th to 16th, 2027, builds on a terrific first collaboration this Spring at AERO 2026.”

The ACE show originally started at Cambridge Airport as The Business and General Aviation Day (BGAD) with the pledge to ‘pack three days into one.’ It has grown significantly since relocating to London Biggin Hill in 2015, taking on its current name. Brad Wright, ACE Show Sales Manager at Business Air News endorsed the AERO Friedrichshafen partnering as a “natural, complementary fit for business aviation.”

Visitors to ACE Regional-Europe will have their own entrance and dedicated space in Hall A1 and The Dome. A superior conference stage will mirror that offered at ACE.

AERO 2027 exhibitors surpass 300 including bizav and helicopter OEMs

Exhibiting at Biggin Hill, Tobias disclosed that his team have just surpassed 306 exhibitors during ACE26, including OEMs Dassault Aviation, Bombardier and Robinson Helicopters. AERO 2027 anticipates 50 to 70 business aircraft on display. “We are on our way to registering a total 900 exhibitors with a range of space options available,” Tobias Bretzel added.

“Business aviation, this collaboration with The ACA and other partners onboarding, will not be to the detriment of the Show’s general aviation legacy,” he stressed. “For example, we are celebrating the return of the glider community this year, in Hall B5.” AERO Friedrichshafen will continue as a four-day event through to April 17th.

Regular comms updates from AERO 27

AERO Friedrichshafen will be updating media regularly on progress of the show, including exhibitor spotlights, conference themes and highlights through its new communications partner Emerald Media. Emerald joins Volker Thomalla, Head of Communication Aerospace Portfolio and a strengthened AERO marketing team.

Prospective exhibitors at this year’s AERO are invited to secure their usual booth locations for 2027 as soon as possible because interest is very high.
