The ACA finalises 2026 intern selection with diverse group of aspiring
young professionals

Global trade body The Air Charter Association (The ACA), has selected the final 15 interns to take part in its 2026 internship programme, following a multi-step assessment process from nearly 200 applications.

This year’s cohort of interns features a diverse group of school leavers and university students, with eight females and seven males from countries including Angola, Spain, Slovakia and the UK.

The ACA Internship is open to 18–25-year-olds who are passionate about embarking on a career in the air charter industry. The programme comprises a week of training at London Biggin Hill Airport where interns participate in a combination of classroom and practical on-site training, including a series of guest presentations from leading industry professionals.

Following the training week, interns also have a work experience placement at one of The ACA’s 450+ member companies, allocated based on the individual’s location and area of industry interest. Finally, the interns will undertake a competitive research project, with the winner announced at the prestigious Air Charter Excellence Awards event in October.

The ACA has seen great success with supporting interns to transition into employment, with five of last year’s cohort securing jobs with leading air charter companies including Air Charter Service, Chapman Freeborn, CharterSync and FlyerTech.

Benjamin Hauer, Charter Analyst - Private Jets, Air Charter Service, says: “My first few weeks in the industry were amazing. I learned so much, but it really hasn’t stopped, it’s been go, go, go 24/7 and I’m enjoying every minute of it. I want to give a huge thanks to The ACA and their NextGen Group. Not only did they help me figure out what I wanted to do in aviation and point me in the right direction, they also connected me with the right people, which ultimately helped me secure my job as a broker.”

Maisey Greenhow, Commercial Executive (Passenger), Chapman Freeborn, says: “The experience I gained through The ACA internship has given me a strong foundation for starting my new role. In turn, I felt more confident when I started, knowing I already had that foundational knowledge, especially in an industry that is so specialist.”

Oliver Dawson, Graduate Cargo Account Manager, CharterSync, says: “The ACA Internship was a fantastic opportunity for me to learn in-depth about a highly diverse and unique side of the aviation industry, which I had previously only scratched the surface on during my studies as an Aviation Management student. It also allowed me to gain real-world industry experience, invaluable for my professional development and subsequently leading to the offer of my first industry role.”

Glenn Hogben, CEO, The ACA, says: “The ACA Internship programme is a great opportunity for passionate young people to experience the air charter industry, build connections and develop their understanding. We are committed to inspiring the next generation of air charter professionals and look forward to supporting this year’s cohort of interns break into the industry.”
