Gogo showcases high-performance Galileo connectivity and industry-leading privacy protection at AERO Friedrichshafen

Gogo marked a significant milestone in its reinforced presence in the international market with its debut at AERO Friedrichshafen last week.

The company highlighted its growing Gogo Galileo portfolio, which now brings high-speed, reliable and low-latency inflight connectivity to a broader range of aircraft - including light jets and turboprops - that previously had limited or no viable high performance connectivity options.

It also underlined its commitment to customer privacy and cybersecurity, and as industry leaders in the field, are committed to supporting new standards required by EASA Part-IS regulations.

“For the first time, operators of light aircraft such as Cessna Citations, Pilatus PC-12s and 24s and Embraer Phenom 300s have access to a truly global, high-speed connectivity solution purpose-built for business aviation that meets their performance, size, and budget requirements,” says Dave Falberg, Gogo’s SVP Sales EMEA-APAC. “Our Galileo portfolio opens the door for more aircraft owners to stay connected wherever they fly, without compromise.”

The Gogo Galileo HDX’s compact form factor enables high-speed broadband connectivity to new aircraft categories, including light aircraft.

The Gogo Galileo system includes the HDX and FDX electronically steered antennas (ESA) powered by the Eutelsat OneWeb enterprise-grade low earth orbit (LEO) network. The HDX antenna offers a compact, lightweight, and low-power solution capable of delivering reliable speeds of up to 60 Mbps and is easily installed on aircraft from light to large-cabin.

For executive airliners and customers requiring maximum throughput, Gogo offers the FDX terminal, a bigger full-duplex antenna capable of delivering consistent speeds of up to 195 Mbps. This system targets large-cabin and ultra-long-range business jets whose many passengers expect uninterrupted streaming, video conferencing, and high-bandwidth corporate applications. Both are in stock and ready to ship immediately.

In total, there are currently 36 STCs for either the HDX or FDX terminal on 35 aircraft types, with some 20 more STCs expected in the first half of 2026. The Galileo system is part of Gogo’s multi-orbit connectivity portfolio, as the company also offers its Plane Simple® geostationary earth orbit (GEO) and air-to-ground (ATG) solutions.

Gogo also reinforced its commitment to cybersecurity and customer privacy at a time when regulatory requirements are evolving including in Europe which is seeing a major shift.
