Beyond Aero, manufacturer of the hydrogen-electric BYA-I light jet, and leading European business aviation operator Luxaviation, have announced a multi-year strategic partnership to prepare the operational introduction of hydrogen-electric aircraft into business aviation, starting at Le Bourget.
Under the partnership, Beyond Aero and Luxaviation will jointly evaluate real‑world missions, routes, energy requirements, and ground operations relevant to hydrogen‑electric flight within current and future EASA regulatory frameworks. The collaboration is designed to anticipate the operational needs of future hydrogen‑electric operators, including charter operators, fractional ownership companies, and corporate flight departments.

As Beyond Aero progresses toward certification, the collaboration will support the development of an operator-ready hydrogen-electric aircraft, aligned with the economic, operational and safety expectations of professional business aviation operators, through:
The objective is to build a credible, operational foundation for integrating hydrogen-electric aircraft into Luxaviation’s network when the technology reaches maturity.
“Introducing a new propulsion system into business aviation requires operational discipline as much as technological innovation," said Beyond Aero CEO, Eloa Guillotin. "Partnering with Luxaviation ensures that hydrogen-electric propulsion is prepared for real missions, real operators, and real regulatory conditions.”
“At Luxaviation, innovation must translate into real-world operations," added Caroline Demsar, CEO Luxaviaton France. "Partnering with Beyond Aero enables us to explore hydrogen‑electric propulsion in a practical, responsible way, aligned with our long‑term sustainability ambitions and operational excellence.”
