Augusta Regional Airport partners with FlightSafety and NetJets to elevate private aviation experience during Masters week

As the 2026 Masters Tournament approaches, Augusta Regional Airport (AGS) is transforming into a hub of innovation and hospitality for private aviation, with two major initiatives enhancing the experience for pilots, crews, and travelers alike.

FlightSafety International has partnered with AGS to launch the Final Approach Lounge, the first dedicated pilot and crew hospitality suite at the airport. Operating from Wednesday, April 8 through Sunday, April 12, the lounge provides flight crews with a space to relax, enjoy refreshments, and coordinate flight operations during the airport’s busiest week of the year. FSI will also provide golf cart transportation around the airfield, helping crews navigate the surge of activity efficiently.

“Masters week brings a heavy concentration of aviation activity to Augusta,” said Michele Posey, Executive Vice President of Sales, FlightSafety International. “While passengers attend the tournament, pilots and crews supporting those flights often remain at the Airport for extended time periods. Our partnership with Augusta Regional Airport reflects a shared commitment to the aviation professionals behind every flight.”

In addition to the hospitality suite, the lounge includes a dedicated support center for on-site flight operations, allowing crews to process paperwork, finalize flight plans, and interact directly with AGS staff. Located just 12 miles from Augusta National Golf Club, the airport expects between 3,500 and 3,800 aircraft arrivals and departures during the tournament, with up to 200 aircraft on the ground at a time thanks to an added 500,000 square feet of ramp space.

Meanwhile, NetJets is introducing a state-of-the-art, exclusive-use terminal at AGS, designed to elevate the experience for its Owners and guests not just during Masters Week, but year-round. The new facility, featuring a private 432,000-square-foot ramp, luxurious lounges, private meeting spaces, and advanced customer services, will be ready for the 2026 tournament.

NetJets also continues its tradition of exclusive hospitality during the tournament, including the popular NetJets Friday Night event hosted by renowned sports commentator Jim Nantz, offering a unique gathering for golf enthusiasts and repeat attendees. The company anticipates up to 775 flights to the Augusta area during the 2026 peak period, marking a significant increase over 2025’s 580 Owner flights.
