Av8 expands thriving Phenom landing gear overhaul program

Av8, a leading provider of landing gear overhaul, repair, and component support services for business aviation, has announced a strategic investment into its already well-established Embraer Phenom landing gear overhaul program.

The investment reflects the company’s continued commitment to expanding support capabilities and improving turnaround times for operators of one of the industry’s most widely used light business jets.

As part of the program expansion, Av8 has acquired additional complete ship sets of Phenom 300 landing gear, along with a substantial inventory of high-value rotable parts and components. The acquisition further solidifies Av8’s position as the market leader in exchangeable, overhauled landing gear assets and significantly strengthens the company’s ability to support both scheduled overhauls and unscheduled maintenance events for Phenom operators around the world.

The newly acquired gear sets will allow Av8 to accelerate overhaul turnaround times and provide greater schedule certainty for customers, an increasingly important factor for fleet operators and maintenance providers seeking to minimize aircraft downtime.

In addition to improving overhaul capacity, the investment further expands Av8’s Phenom landing gear rotable exchange pool, which is already one of the largest available in the industry outside of the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). The expanded pool enables Av8 to offer immediate gear exchange options, allowing operators to swap landing gear assemblies rather than waiting for their existing units to complete overhaul.

By providing both overhaul services and access to a robust rotable pool, Av8 delivers a flexible maintenance solution that helps operators and MROs reduce aircraft downtime, control maintenance costs, and maintain operational readiness.

The investment aligns with Av8’s broader strategy of building deep component and landing gear support programs for high-demand business aviation platforms.
