Stans, SwitzerlandA Smooth Departure. A Challenging Flight. A Successful LandingPilatus publishes 2025 annual report |
The 2025 fiscal year was uncommonly challenging for Pilatus: highly volatile US trade tariffs, a sharp fall in the dollar exchange rate, disrupted supply chains, delivery stoppages and delays all impacted planning, production and results.
At the same time, the company also succeeded in moving ahead with key innovation and growth projects, and in concluding important contracts.
With total sales of 1.672bn Swiss francs, operating earnings of 170m Swiss francs and incoming orders worth 1.869bn Swiss francs, Pilatus closes 2025 with a solid set of results.
The company delivered a total of 147 aircraft to customers - 82 PC-12s, 50 PC-24s, 14 PC-21s and 1 PC-7 MKX. Across the Group, 352 full-time positions were created, including 254 in Switzerland.
High demand in both Business Units
Pilatus successfully secured some major orders in Government Aviation. The Royal Netherlands Air and Space Force ordered eight PC-7 MKXs including simulators, the French Air and Space Force followed suit with an order for 23 PC-7 MKXs, and at the end of the year, the Belgian Air Force also opted for 18 PC-7 MKXs, including training systems. These orders resulted in three “first-time” customers for the brand-new PC-7 MKX Basic Trainer.

Pilatus also sent a clear signal in Business Aviation: via an entirely digital launch of the PC-12 PRO in March, the company presented the newly designed cockpit “Powered by Garmin”, which attracted considerable interest worldwide, reaching over two million people and generating a steady stream of new orders and high demand.
Overall, Business Aviation looks back on a challenging year marked by high demand for both the PC-12 and the PC-24, but also by significant external pressures such as delivery stoppages and delays.
Targeted expansion of international footprint
The merger of Pilatus Business Aircraft Ltd and Skytech, Inc. to form Pilatus Aircraft USA Ltd as of December 31st, 2025 was a key strategic move. January 2026 also saw the start of construction work on a new sales, service and PC-12 assembly center in Florida.
In Australia, Pilatus Australia Pty Ltd and Pilatus Training Solutions Australia Pty Ltd were merged to enable further growth and greater efficiency. In Europe, the Emmen site was successfully integrated into the production network, and the Spanish subsidiary, Pilatus Aircraft Ibérica SA, continued to establish itself, growing its workforce to 75 employees. These steps will strengthen robustness and supply chains, and improve proximity to customers.
New member of the management and Board of Directors
The groundwork has also been laid for the future in terms of personnel: Bruno Cervia, previously a member of the management and Deputy CEO, was elected to the Board of Directors where he will contribute his extensive aviation and engineering expertise.
In addition, Igor Medici took over from Bruno Cervia as Vice President Research & Development effective January 1st, 2026, becoming a new member of the management in the process. Both steps will strengthen Pilatus while also securing continuity and further development.

Markus Bucher, CEO of Pilatus, emphasizes: “The continuing high volume of orders in hand reflects the confidence which our customers have in us, and reassures us for the coming years. The opportunities clearly outweigh the risks and Pilatus remains steadily on course, despite the turbulence of the past year. Solid, innovative and with a clear vision - focused on our customers at all times.”
Hansueli Loosli, Chairman of the Board of Directors, adds: “2025 showed the importance of a clear strategy and corporate stability. Despite geopolitical uncertainty and fluctuating trade tariffs, Pilatus managed to conclude some important contracts and move ahead with key future projects. We are flying toward a promising future - thanks to unique products, a first-class crew that stands unreservedly behind the company, and a loyal customer base for whom we always give our all.”
