San Marino Aviation Rendezvous 2026

San Marino Aviation Rendezvous 2026 in Dubai to advance
cross-regional collaboration

The San Marino Aircraft Registry (T7) will bring the international aviation community together for the San Marino Aviation Rendezvous 2026, an in-person event focused on strengthening cross-regional collaboration across the global aviation sector, set to take place from 14th to 16th April 2026 at The Lana Hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Organized in coordination with the San Marino Civil Aviation Authority, the Rendezvous builds on the outcome of last year’s Safety Conference.

The 2026 edition broadens its scope beyond safety to address regulatory exposure, operational oversight, technical decision-making, and the financial structures that support aircraft ownership and operation across borders, with a particular focus on cross-regional cooperation between Europe, the Middle East, and other international aviation markets.

The program is designed around current, real-world challenges faced by aircraft owners, operators, and financiers. Through keynote discussions, panel sessions, and technical briefings, participants will examine how regulatory frameworks are evolving and where greater alignment between regions is needed to support safe and compliant operations.

Key topics

A central discussion will focus on EU and US sanctions and their practical impact on San Marino registered aircraft. This session will be led by legal professionals with direct experience advising owners and operators navigating multi-jurisdictional compliance. Aircraft financing will also feature prominently, with a dedicated discussion on protecting lender interests through San Marino’s aircraft mortgage registry and its interaction with the Cape Town International Registry.

From an operational perspective, the Rendezvous will include a dedicated session on aircraft importation into the European Union with OPMAS, the leading importer of T7-registered aircraft into the EU for free circulation. Attendees will also hear directly from the SM CAA Head of Flight Operations, Paul Stephens, who will provide a practical overview of the San Marino Air Operator Certificate application process and current regulatory expectations.

Technical sessions will address topics that continue to shape operational risk and oversight, including MEL and EFB approvals, aircraft aging, ongoing support from Type Certificate holders, and the operational use of Flight Data Recorders. Cybersecurity and data protection will be examined in the context of modern flight operations, alongside discussions on sustainability and environmental considerations that are increasingly influencing regulatory policy and fleet strategy.

“San Marino’s role in international aviation continues to grow because it is grounded in technical credibility and regulatory clarity,” said David Colindres, President of the San Marino Aircraft Registry. “This Rendezvous is intended to encourage informed discussion between regions and provide stakeholders with a clearer understanding of how regulatory decisions translate into operational reality.”

Registration and Sponsorship Opportunities

The event is open to aircraft owners and operators, financiers, regulators, and aviation professionals. Registration is complimentary for T7 clients, while non-T7 participants may attend for a fee of €300. A full agenda will be announced in the coming months.

A limited number of sponsorship and partnership packages will be available for organizations seeking visibility and engagement with senior decision-makers across regulation, operations, finance, and technical management. These packages are structured to support meaningful participation rather than branding alone, reflecting the technical and professional focus of the event.
