BBGA names Victor’s Hugo Robotti-Guinamand as its ‘Excellence in Aviation Next Generation’ Award winner

The British Business General Aviation Association (BBGA) has announced Hugo Robotti-Guinamand, Group Charter Executive from Victor, as the recipient of its 2025 Excellence in Aviation - Next Generation award.

This category recognises the achievements of outstanding next-gen professionals who have made a significant impact in their business aviation role. Hugo accepted the accolade from Aoife O’Sullivan, BBGA Chair and Partner, Keystone Law, at BBGA’s 2025 Christmas Networking Event.

Hugo joined Victor in 2022 as Commercial Jet Associate, progressing to Group Charter Senior Associate in 2024 and then Group Charter Executive in July. He has managed some of Victor’s most complex charter projects, including logistics for Olympic sports teams, international orchestras and leading sports organisations including Roma and the Norway Football Federation.

Hugo has embraced aviation sustainability and consistently champions Victor’s Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) offering, educating clients that each purchase can reduce lifecycle carbon emissions by up to 80%, compared with fossil jet fuel.

She also endorsed other exceptionally talented, highly commended nominees in this category:

• Sophie Rout, Executive Aviation Charter Broker, Hunt & Palmer, demonstrating commitment, confidence and capability as trainee broker, managing difficult operations and the most challenging clients.

• Brandon Studd, who, as a key member of Saxon Air’s Helicopter Operations team, quickly distinguished himself through his professionalism, initiative and technical acumen, showing exceptional responsibility and attention to detail in his additional role as Lead Landing Site Officer.

• Ben Hoy with his unstoppable enthusiasm, strategic thinking and passion for aviation working as Flight Services Executive at Affinity Aviation, whose responsibilities included organising and hosting the firm’s 10-year celebratory Spitfire Spectacular Event.

• Matthew Barrington-Smith, a Project Engineer at FlyerTech (a Gama Aviation group company) who demonstrated professionalism, attention to detail and hard work in his role in airworthiness - taking ownership when required and dealing with and managing many situations until closure. Matthew has also been selected and secured sponsorship to obtain a recognised project management qualification.

BBGA is most proud to promote careers in aviation, highlighted in its #BizavEnables social media campaign, membership of CLIMBING.FAST and through its collaboration with Stansted Airport College and support of the Aviation Skills Recruitment Platform (ASRP)/TalentView Aviation (TVA).
