Williston, North DakotaOverland Aviation and partners raise $20K for Make-A-Wish North Dakota |
Overland Aviation, in partnership with Williston Basin International Airport (KXWA) and Make-A-Wish North Dakota, proudly hosted the inaugural Williston Plane Pull and Fly-In Movie event last month on August 16, 2025.
Together, the community raised more than $20,000, helping ensure children in North Dakota facing critical illnesses see their wishes come true.
The day’s activities kicked off with the first-ever plane pull in Williston, where six spirited teams competed to pull a Sun Country Airlines Boeing 737 one hundred feet across the tarmac. Following the excitement, attendees gathered inside Overland Aviation’s spacious hangar for the Fly-In Movie, featuring “Planes” on a massive screen, along with live entertainment, family activities and summer treats.
“This event was a true example of our aviation community coming together for a cause bigger than ourselves,” said Tanner Overland, president and founder of Overland Aviation. “We’re grateful to work alongside Williston Basin International Airport, Make-A-Wish North Dakota, and Sun Country Airlines to raise funds and awareness for this life-changing mission.”
The fundraiser not only highlighted the importance of partnership between aviation organizations, but also showcased their shared commitment to the Williston community. From providing critical air services to hosting events that bring people together, the FBO and its partners remain united in giving back.
