TrueNoord completes sale of E190 to Titan Airways

Specialist regional aircraft leasing company, TruNoord, has announced the sale of its Embraer E190 (MSN 19000543) to UK operator, Titan Airways.

This marks the airline’s first acquisition of a regional jet which will be used to support the growing demand for ACMI and charter contracts across the UK and Europe.

Mark Holt, Account Director at Titan Airways, explained why the airline selected the E190: “Following an intensive market and operational analysis, we identified the Embraer E190 as the ideal aircraft to fill a growing gap in the regional market. This is our first E190 and we’re confident in its ability to deliver the performance, efficiency and flexibility that our customers require to support their operations.”

He also highlighted the cooperative nature of the process, noting the joint effort to overcome supply chain and MRO hurdles.

“Working with TrueNoord has been a truly collaborative experience. Their team were engaged and supportive throughout the process, helping us to manage the complex technical and logistical challenges. We’re grateful for their expertise and commitment.”

“We’re delighted to have concluded this transaction with Titan Airways,” added Ahmed Ali, Sales Director at TrueNoord. “Whilst the journey was not without challenges, both teams remained aligned and focused, enabling us to navigate maintenance constraints and complete delivery successfully. We are proud of the result, and we wish Titan every success on their journey with this aircraft.”

TrueNoord is witnessing increasing demand for mid-sized regional jets, particularly from ACMI operators who seek to offer flexible capacity solutions to major European airlines looking for additional uplift. The E190 combines mainline reach with the ability to operate at restrictive airfields. With a substantial range of 2,400nm and a spacious cabin for a single-aisle aircraft, it is well suited to both short- and long-haul routes. It fills an important gap in Titan Airways’ fleet, enabling them to serve lower-capacity routes more efficiently.
