Busiest July for bizjet activity
In Week 28, global bizjet activity reached 76,604 departures, an increase of 13% over the prior week and 4% above Week 28 of 2024, according to WINGX`s weekly Global Market Tracker published today.
While still shy of this cycle’s 52-week peak of 78,808 flights (recorded in Week 26 of 2025), activity remains well ahead of the 52-week trough of 60,521 (Week 2 of 2025). Looking at the rolling four-week total, global flights are 4% ahead of versus the same period last year.
So far this year, business jet activity has totaled roughly 2 million flights - an overall increase of 3% compared with the same period last year. Flight hours are also 3% ahead of 2024, while the fleet of active aircraft has modestly contracted by about 1%.
As we approach mid-July, global business jet activity is accelerating, with flights rising 6% year-on-year and flight hours climbing by the same margin, departures have risen above every comparable July since 2019. Despite this uptick in flying, the active business-jet fleet held steady at around 16,400 “tails,” implying that each aircraft logged more hours on average compared to July of last year.

Regional Performance Analysis:
North America: Sun Valley Conference drives local bizjet demand The hosting of the annual Allen & Company conference in Sun Valley caused the usual spike in bizjet arrivals last week into Friedman Memorial Airport (KSUN). Last week (7th-13th July) saw 432 bizjet arrivals into the airport, 155 arrivals recorded on Tuesday 8th. Most aircraft were operated by Fractional Operators, followed by Aircraft Management programs.
The busiest aircraft type during the event week was the Bombardier Challenger 300/350 series, 44 individual aircraft recorded, 16 of Bombardier’s latest Global 7000/7500 were recorded arriving.

In the US, business-jet departures in Week 28 totaled 48,799—up 20% from the prior week and 3% ahead of Week 28 last year. Although still below this cycle’s 52-week peak of 54,859 flights (recorded in Week 42 2024), activity remains well above the 52-week trough of 40,714 (Week 27 2025). Over the past four weeks, US bizjet traffic is 5% ahead of comparable last year.
Key domestic markets:
Florida logged 4,667 flights in Week 28, +6% year on year, matching the last fourweek trend.
California recorded 4,425 bizjet flights, up 1% compared to last year.
Texas recorded 4,590 flights in Week 28, up 14% vs W28 last year, up 12% over the last four weeks.

Month to Date Performance: US Bizjet activity is 6% ahead of July last year, strong growth across almost all aircraft segments, bizliners are the exception, departures down by over a quarter. Busiest international connection is to Canada, flights on par with last July, departures to Mexico down 3%.
Europe: Strong rebounds in France and Italy despite some softness in Switzerland and Germany
In Week 28, Europe logged 15,740 business jet departures, up 7% above Week 28 of 2024. Over the past four weeks, bizjets in Europe flew 3% more than last year.
Key market highlights:
United Kingdom: 2,217 departures in W28, up 5% Year-on-year, surpassing its previous 52-week peak of 2,089 in Week 29 2024. Its four-week total of 8,173 departures is 2% ahead of last year.
Germany: 1,395 departures in W28, down 15% year-on-year, down from a EURO Football Championships driven high of 1,642 in Week 29 2024. Its recent four-week run of 5,522 flights trails 2024 by 16%.
France: 2,814 departures in W28, up 24% vs last year, exceeding its prior 52-week high of 2,755 in Week 25 2025.
Switzerland: 821 departures in W28, well below its 1,036-flight high in Week 4 2025 but above the 526-flight low of Week 47 2024. Its four-week trend is just +1% versus last year.
Italy: 2,343 departures in W28, up 15% compared to W28 last year. Italy’s last four weeks saw 9,465 bizjet departures, an 18% increase. vs last year.
Last week the Wimbledon tennis tournament concluded on July 13th. Bizjet arrivals into London airports peaked on July 10th 248 arrivals recorded ahead of the finals. Between July 10th – 13th there was an almost equal split of arrivals into Farnborough, Luton and Biggin Hill airports. There were rises in arrivals of Branded Charter and Fractional fleets, Ultra-long-range jets the most popular type, significant increases in flights from France, Italy and Spain.
Month to date performance:
Overall bizjet activity is 6% ahead of last July, France is the busiest market with just under 4,800 departures, strong year on year growth in Italy (+16%) and in Spain (+13%). Several popular summer destinations are enjoying strong year on year growth, notably Salerno (LIRI), with >100% growth in departures vs July last year, notable rises arrivals from France, UK and Spain this month

Rest of the World:
Growth in July despite weaker trends in Mexico and India In Week 28, the Middle East recorded 1,589 bizjet departures 8% ahead of last year. Over the past four weeks, the region recorded 6,172 departures, a 7% year-on-year gain.
Africa saw 811 flights in Week 28, up +14% compared to last year despite being off its 52-week peak of 1,047 (Week 17 2025), Johannesburg the busiest departure city so far this month, closely followed by Cape Town. In Asia, 2,047 bizjet flights were recorded in Week 28 down 4% compared to last year, busiest departure airport this month is Seletar (WSSL), in contrast, South America recorded 17% year on year gains.
