Bizjet demand slumps in Middle East, still surging in US
In the last week, Week 24 (9th-15th June), global bizjet activity grew 2% compared to Week 24 last year, marking the 8th consecutive week of year-on-year growth.
According to WINGX`s weekly Global Market Tracker published today, Global Part135 & 91K activity grew 3% compared to Week 24 last year, the last four-week trend now 7% ahead of comparable last year.
The most recent week includes the outbreak of conflict between Israel and Iran, and has been reflected in almost zero bizjet flights out of Israel, also a big reduction in flights from Turkey, correlating to a significant rise in bizjet activity in Gulf countries.
Year to date (1st January-15th June), over 1.7 million bizjet sectors have been flown globally, 3% more than the comparable period of 2024, flying hours also up 3% compared to last year. As we approach the midpoint of June (1st – 15th), bizjet activity is 4% ahead of comparable June last year.

Kananaskis, Alberta, played host to the 50th G7 Summit June 15th-17th. Nearest major airport to the event was Calgary (CYYC), recorded a relatively normal few days prior to the event, with no notable spikes in bizjet activity. So far this month bizjet arrivals into CYYC are down 5% compared to June last year, so far this year arrivals are down 1% compared to last year.
North America
In Week 24 business jet activity in the United States grew 4% compared to Week 24 last year, the last four-week trend standing at +6% compared to last year. Part 135 and Part 91K sectors grew 6% compared to last year, the four-week trend standing at +9%. There were strong gains across the core US bizjet States of Florida and California, departures up 7% and 4% respectively. In contrast activity in Texas fell 4% compared to last year.
Oakmont, PA played host to the US Open Golf tournament last week (June 12-15th). Two nearby airports KPIT and KAGC saw significant rises in bizjet arrivals due to the event.
During the event week (9th-15th June), 452 bizjet arrivals were recorded across the two airports, up from 259 arrivals during the previous week. Most arrivals came from Fractional fleets, followed by Branded Charter fleets, combined these two operator types accounted for 234 of the arrivals last week.

Across the US this month, all major bizjet States with the exception of North Carolina are ahead of last year, however, Corporate Flight activity this month dropped 10%, Aircraft Management fleets flying 4% fewer departures than last year. Month to date California bizjet departures are up 4% compared to last year, busiest city Los Angeles is 6% ahead of last year, with particularly strong growth out of Santa Barbara, departures 11% up on last year. In contrast, Napa has seen departures fall 20%.

Europe
In Week 24, European bizjet activity decreased 1% compared to Week 24 last year, aircraft flying on a commercial AOC flew 2% fewer flights than Week 24 last year.
Germany recorded 27% declines last week, the last four-week trend on par with last year. Germany’s Week 27 decline is due to the surge in activity for the EUROS Football tournament which began in June of last year.

Month to date, European business jet activity is 5% ahead of June last year, flying hours 4% ahead of last year. Entry level and Very jet segments have weakest demand, Super Midsize activity well ahead of last year. France is the busiest market this month, departures 5% ahead of last year, Italy and Spain recording strong growth, departures 16% and 20% ahead of last year respectively. Italy’s growth is being driven by YOY growth in flights to and from Olbia and Naples, flights 24% and 47% respectively ahead of June last year.
Rest of the World
Outside of Europe and the United States, bizjet activity in the rest of world regions was 2% below of Week 24 last year. Asia recorded 3% declines in Week 24, flights from Africa down by 5%, 9% declines from airports in the Middle East. During the full week (June 9th-15th) there were 69 bizjet departures recorded from airports in Israel, down from 89 during the previous week, with flights over the last few days almost zero since airspace was closed as conflict escalated with Iran.
The most popular destinations from Israel last week have been Cyprus, Greece and Italy. So far in June bizjet activity out of Israel is down 16% compared to last year, Private Flight Department activity has fallen by 52% compared to June last year, Corporate Flight activity has fallen 61%.
Elsewhere, South America was on the only ROW region with growth in YOY activity in W24, departures up 7% compared to last year.
