CCREW 2023

First annual CCREW Exchange to take place April 24-25 in Charlotte, NC

The Cabin Crewmember Resource Exchange Workshop, known as CCREW (/kro͞o/), is the only resource exchange and networking event designed specifically for business aviation cabin crewmembers and associated companies.

The global cabin crewmember community, and all associated supporting companies, have been left without a dedicated venue for connecting peers, leaders, and clientele for over three years. This is due to the demise of both the NBAA Flight Attendant/Flight Technician Conference (FAFTC) and EBAA’s European Corporate Flight Attendants Conference (ECFAC). CCREW is changing this fact!

CCREW’s concept is to support the NBAA Flight Attendant Committee (FAC) and their continuous efforts and representation of the cabin crew community. Although there is no longer the FAFTC, the FAC is coordinating a limited number of cabin crew focused sessions during NBAA. Although these are valuable sessions, the all-important peer to peer connection link is severed.

The CCREW Planning Committee is made up of former NBAA Flight Attendant Committee members, Women in Corporate Aviation Board of Directors members, and actively flying corporate flight attendants; Paula Kraft, Tamara Collum, Rucsandra Mihai, Rosana Calambichis, Meagan Pravden, Jennifer McCracken, and Scott D. Arnold.

In a combined effort, CCREW is rewriting the definition of “conference” by creating this two-day “non-conference,” designed as an interactive workshop featuring general assembly forums (open discussion “think tanks”) and breakout sessions, with heavy focus on attendees being able to exchange information and have plenty of dedicated time to connect with peers, industry leaders, and attending sponsors.

CCREW is a fusion of information sharing (for all levels of the aviation industry). “Our common goal in creating CCREW 2023 says it all in the theme, ‘Community over Competition'," says Kraft. “There’s no substitute for sharing experiences, and practical knowledge is not a commodity to be bartered. We all thrive by exchanging information and resources as a community.” Mihai added, “connecting with others is a sense of being open and available to others who share the same aspirations and goals. Resulting in each person feeling valued, seen, and heard.” Arnold stated, “it’s also a definite value-add for mentees as it helps all of us mentors see situations from different perspectives, along with challenging our own thinking, which can lead to deeper, richer, and invaluable discussions with our mentees.” Collum added, '“We can learn something from everyone, we just need the opportunity to ask the question.”

The CCREW Exchange is an established registered 501c3 non-profit organization therefore, all acquired proceeds go directly to providing CCREW 2023 and the evening social event. This year, CCREW is hosted at the In-Flight Crew Connections/Minti Cowork and Conference complex in Charlotte, NC (Mint Hill). This unique venue also provides attendees and sponsors the opportunity of reserving an office or small conference room to conduct private meetings and discussions.

The Lead Flight Attendant/Manager Roundtable Meeting is taking place the day prior, and these members are also attending CCREW. Registered attendee tracking is confirming a broad range of experience levels, which will ensure very engaging group discussions. As of now, attendees are joining us from over 20 different States, plus: Basel, Germany, Switzerland and CCREW planning committee member Rucsandra Mihai from Romania. “We are looking forward to this event having a global reach and a positive impact on aviation professionals,” stated Mihai.

Attendee registration is currently open, and sponsor and supporter benefits are still available.
