MedAire expands its international aviation security presence

As MedAire's security business grows, so has the number of requests for intelligence relating to travel to and over the Middle East region. To best support clients and their requests, MedAire has made significant investments to expand their regional footprint internationally to expand personnel additions and technology backed operational resources.

As a company driven by experts, MedAire is adding two dedicated Aviation Security specialists and a Security Manager based out of its Dubai operations centre. These new positions highlight MedAire's commitment to providing clients subject matter experts with local expertise across the globe. In addition, to support client-led feedback, MedAire has enriched its aviation security content management system and technological capabilities, enabling their experts to enhance the client experience.

MedAire's Hany Bakr has been appointed as Senior Vice President Aviation Security and Maritime to lead this international expansion and support the product development portfolio with new online tools and capabilities. Hany will support clients in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia Pacific regions by helping manage and mitigate risks to their people, aircraft, luxury yachts, operations, and reputations.

Hany brings over 20 years of experience as an aviation and security professional who has held executive leadership positions in airlines' airport operations, safety, quality and security divisions in the United Kingdom and the Gulf region. Hany was also the Chairman of the Oneworld Alliance Security Group, Chairman of the Arab Air Carriers' Organisation (AACO) Security Intelligence Task Force, Chairman of the Qatar Airways Security Risks, Threats & Security Action Groups and a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Security Executive Group representing 290 airlines.
