Ross Aviation gets greener on two coasts

Hybrid crew cars available at New York, California and Florida FBOs

Ross Aviation continued its nationwide drive to reduce business aviation’s environmental impact with the addition of Hybrid Electric (HEV) crew cars this week at its FBO facilities in White Plains, New York (HPN); Long Beach, California (LGB); and Sarasota, Florida (SRQ).

The new-generation HEV Toyota Sienna vans at both facilities are part of an on-going agreement with Go Rentals, the California-based car rental company that specializes in the business aviation industry. Go Rentals is Ross Aviation’s preferred rental car company and will be providing additional energy efficient vehicles at other Ross Aviation locations in the future with a goal of an entirely HEV crew car fleet by 2022. In addition to HEV crew cars, Go Rentals also has Tesla vehicles available for rent in select locations as well.

Ross Aviation is now providing fuel-efficient hybrid-electric crew cars at its facilities in White Plains, New York (HPN); Long Beach, California (LGB); and Sarasota, Florida (SRQ). These new energy saving vehicles are part or the company’s on-going nationwide commitment to reducing business aviation’s impact on the environment.

“As a company, and as individuals, all of us at Ross Aviation are deeply committed to finding ways to economically reduce business aviation-related energy consumption and environmental impact” said Brian Corbett, Chief Executive Officer of Ross Aviation.

“In addition to our new hybrid-electric crew cars, we’ve recently created our industry-leading ‘Fly More. Leave Less.’ carbon offset fuel program, have planned investments in additional electric ground support equipment, and are exploring photovoltaic systems on hangar roofs at several of our facilities” he continued. “And those are just a few examples of what we believe can be done to help our environment, and business aviation’s impact on it. I honestly can’t think of a more important goal.”
