World Fuel Services to fuel thirteen legs of Raid Latécoère-Aéropostale

World Fuel Services has been named fuel supplier for thirteen legs of the historic Raid Latécoère- Aéropostale rally in its centenary year.

The charity event operates every year, alternating between South America (Brazil, Paraguay, Chile) and Africa (Morocco, Mauritania and Senegal). This year, 50 aircraft will take part in this cultural and charitable adventure which aims to keep alive the memory of the Aéropostale.

World Fuel Services is responsible for refueling the fleet on its stops at airports in Spain and Morocco, namely Barcelona-Sabell, Sevilla, Jerez, Castillone, Casablanca Tit Mellil, Marrakech-Menara, Dakhla, Laayoune, Essaouira, Fez, and Tan-Tan. Most aircraft will be running on Avgas especially brokered for the event, outside of typical fuel provisions at each site.

James Hardacre, VP for Business Aviation Sales at World Fuel Services, said: “Being part of the Raid Latécoère rally in its centenary year is an absolute honour and is a project we are very excited about.

“The rally is a very complex event and with so many aircraft taking part this year, it’s vital that fuel is ready at each site upon arrival. We therefore used our vast experience to create a manageable plan aligning to the rally’s unique requirements to ensure smooth refueling at every stage. It is testament to World Fuel’s flexible approach that we’re ready to go and have all bases covered.”
