FlightSafety to offer flight attendant training in Long Beach

FlightSafety International will be offering Corporate Flight Attendant Training in Long Beach, California starting in early 2011. General Emergency Training will also be available in Long Beach at that time and in Dallas, Texas starting this fall.

The Corporate Flight Attendant five day initial and two day recurrent courses provide flight crewmembers with the knowledge and in-depth understanding of the procedures required to safely respond to emergency situations as well as general flight attendant duties and responsibilities. Other courses offered include Cabin Service, Crew Member Evacuation and Initial and Recurrent American Heart Association Automated External Defibrillator (AED) & Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training.

General Emergency Training provides business aircraft flight crewmembers with the information and procedures required to effectively and efficiently respond to emergency situations. It includes General Emergency Drill Training designed to instruct participants in the proper use of emergency equipment including window and door exits, fire extinguishers, oxygen equipment, life vests, and life rafts. The course meets the majority of regulatory requirements including those of FAA 14 CFR Part 135.331 as well as ICAO and IS-BAO when approved by the operator’s POI (Principle Operations Inspector).

The courses are taught by FlightSafety’s highly experienced and well qualified team of instructors. They utilize comprehensive and continuously updated courseware along with a wide variety of training tools designed to ensure that crewmembers have the information and knowledge of the procedures required to respond effectively to emergency situations.

The training equipment utilized during these courses includes full size cabin mock ups that represent a variety of aircraft models, fire and smoke emergency trainers, and pools equipped with evacuation slides, water rescue equipment, floatation devices and other training aides. The type and availability of emergency training equipment varies by training location.

These programs are available at FlightSafety’s Learning Centers in Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia; Teterboro, New Jersey and the Paris Le Bourget airport in France in addition to Long Beach and Dallas.
