PrivateFly, the private charter booking platform, has made a number of new senior appointments, to strengthen both its board and leadership team ahead of its next phase of growth in Europe and the USA.

Last Sunday (February 26th) the company was featured in the UK Sunday Times' SME Export Track 100, which recognises the fastest-growing UK SMEs - across all industries - in terms of international sales. This is the second year running that PrivateFly has appeared in the list. The #25 position reflects its 95% international sales growth over 2 years.

Ben Watts, PrivateFly's Finance Director, who joined the company last year, has now been promoted to the PrivateFly board. Ben is a qualified management accountant, with over 16 years' experience at Finance Director level in the media and luxury retail sectors. This follows the company’s announcement of board changes in August 2016, when it appointed George Rolls as chairman.

At a senior management level, Tomasz Kustrzynski has joined as Director of Technology, from music technology company Shazam, to lead PrivateFly’s development teams. His appointment in January follows two new leadership roles for PrivateFly’s fast-growing regional sales teams.

Steve Francis has joined as Head of Sales (Europe), after four years in British Airways’ Commercial Department, where he worked with FTSE 100 clients.

Geoff Villano is now Vice-President of Sales (USA), following senior management roles in luxury travel and hospitality.

Watts, Kustrzynski and Francis have joined PrivateFly’s European head office team in St Albans, UK. Geoff Villano is based at the company’s US office in Fort Lauderdale.

Adam Twidell, CEO of PrivateFly commented on the appointments: “These new roles demonstrate the exciting recipe of talent that is helping to drive PrivateFly's continued growth: Best practice experience from other sectors, combined with strong operational aviation knowledge.

“Ben Watts has proved to be a valuable commercial asset at management level, and his promotion to board level Finance Director will help us steer our future growth strategy.

With our tech innovation continuing apace, Tomasz brings excellent experience from Shazam. And PrivateFly’s continued growth has created a need for new sales management roles, in both Europe and the US. Steve and Geoff are already leading the teams in a strong start to 2017.”
