Texas Jet, Inc., a fixed-base operator at Fort Worth Meacham International Airport (KFTW), has attained the International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH) certification for
its leadership in safety management and risk mitigation.
Texas Jet is only one of six FBOs in the United States to achieve the accreditation from the International Business Aviation Council
(IBAC).
“The foundation of Texas Jet's ‘culture of safety’ is our comprehensive safety management system, which - along with our standard operating procedures and emergency response plan -
forms the basis for how we think and what we do,” said Reed Pigman,
Jr., owner and president of Texas Jet. “All of us at Texas Jet are proud to be one of the first in the U.S. to receive
such prestigious recognition for our high standards in safety.”
“We congratulate Texas Jet on its IS-BAH accreditation,” said
Kurt Edwards, director general of the IBAC. “Conformity to this globally-recognized set of best industry practices
demonstrates Texas Jet’s outstanding commitment to safety for its clients and employees.”
IS-BAH accreditation involves a complete audit of an FBO’s safety management systems, emergency procedures, organizational structure, administrative elements, security procedures,
training protocols, and operating procedure. Certificates of registration are issued by the IBAC to FBOs and business aviation handling agents (BAHAs) that have successfully
demonstrated conformity to the industry’s best practice standards through completion of an external audit by an IBAC-accredited auditor.
