Sky Valet network expands with acquisition of Portugal's JetBase
Marking its presence at EBACE this week, Sky Valet, the international ground-handling support services provider, announced that it has completed the acquisition of 100% of the shares of JetBase, the leading FBO Network based in Portugal.

Created in 2008, JETBASE serves the main Portuguese airports (Lisbon, Porto, Faro, Cascais and Beja), on the islands of Madeira, Azores, Cape Verde, as well as in central Africa (Mozambique, Angola). JETBASE is positioned as one of the leading FBOs networks within the South European area with over 4,000 movements per year, and will now operate under the commercial name of Sky Valet.

The addition of these new exclusive destinations consolidates Sky Valet's international expansion strategy, which aims to create a network of FBOs located in the most iconic areas. Since April 2015, Sky Valet has offered a complete range of ground-handling support services for VIP passengers, crew and aircraft at Madrid, Barcelona, Gerona, Valencia, La Coruna, Santiago de Compostela, Palma de Majorca, Ibiza and Malaga.

Dominique Thillaud, Chairman of the Management Board of Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur and Sky Valet, said: "We are delighted with the addition of 10 new destinations, which fully fulfil the needs of our customers and our target to develop a consistent Sky Valet network. This acquisition allows us to expand our expertise across a new attractive area of the Iberian peninsula with a reach that even extends to Africa."

Filipe Carvalho, General Manager of JetBase, added: ”We are very proud to be part of Sky Valet network, because I really believe in the success of this ambitious project. Since the foundation of JetBase, we are committed to expansion. Our aim was to cover Portugal, Portuguese Island – Azores, Madeira and also Africa to assure a safe entry and exit

from and to Europe to business aviation customers, to provide them the finest and widest range of services. From now on, our customers have more destinations at disposal with the same high standards of quality.”
