Abby’s gears up for big business

Award winning private and corporate aviation caterer, Abby’s Aircraft Catering, is entering the commercial sector by popular demand.

The Houston-TX-based company recently received a special delivery of high-loader trucks from Mallaghan GSE (Dungannon, Northern Ireland), specifically designed for loading and unloading fresh meals for passengers and crew of wide body and large cabin aircraft. The trucks consist of a rear body lift system, platform and hydraulic control mechanism, allowing delivery to the galley door.

“Larger private aircraft have been flying into Houston and surrounding airports that require service using high loaders," said Abby's CEO, Greg den Herder. "This, combined with the increased demand from International Airlines seeking a more refined and personal catering experience has driven us to acquire these new vehicles. We are so excited and realize that this is a huge milestone for our family business.”

John Cameron, Business Development Director at Mallaghan GSE commented, "We are delighted to announce our support for our very valued client Abby’s Aircraft Catering and wish them every success for their new venture within the commercial airline-catering sector. This will be a highly successful venture for a well-established company such as Abby’s Aircraft Catering, who has been providing an array of professional and experienced catering services to small firms and Fortune 500 companies for over 36 years now. A company that has grown organically and understands the need to expand and adapt its capabilities to provide the airline sector with an exceptional level of catering services.”
