The openings have been advertised within Lufthansa Group since 11 August - and there is an abundant number of applicants. Numerous internal applications have been received from pilots working for airlines within the Lufthansa Group as well pilots undergoing training at Lufthansa’s flight school in Bremen. 

The number of internal applications for first officers has already met existing needs for the first year while demand for additional staff at different starting dates remains strong.

As planned the internal recruitment process continues to run in parallel to the external advertisement. Preference will continue to be given to internal applicants.
