ACS completes more than 9,000 charter contracts in 2014

Leading aircraft charter specialist, Air Charter Service, has reported that the company arranged more than 9,000 aircraft charter contracts last year, an increase of more than 20% on 2013.

Justin Bowman, Group CEO, commented: “The figures are a great testament to our staff’s work ethic and professionalism as we saw a rise in almost every division across all of our 18 offices. In fact all three of our divisions had double digit percentage growth.

“We have seen constant year on year growth for several years, but this is the largest single jump in charter numbers that we’ve ever had. The figure means that, on average, we book just over one charter contract an hour, every hour of every day, many consisting of multiple sectors.”

The figure also represents ACS’s record year on the occasion of the company’s 25th anniversary. Air Charter Service was formed by company Chairman Chris Leach in the basement of his family home in 1990, dealing with just a handful of contracts. Now it employs more than 300 aviation experts spanning five continents.
