FlyMeNow's record breaking Summer
A result of changing perceptions of passengers?

A leading private jet and helicopter company has announced that it is embarking on its busiest summer yet after what the team believes is a change in perception towards flying privately as a preferred travel solution.

FlyMeNow has experienced 140 per cent more charters processed and booked this summer compared to 2013. The charter company puts its record-breaking success down to the fact that the enigma often associated with travelling by private jet and helicopter is evolving.

Whilst many charter companies would argue that the reason for the change is due to an increase in online brokers, meaning a mass market can now instantly review costs and availability, FlyMeNow believes the evolution runs deeper than just online access.

Andrew Whitney, director of the private jet and helicopter charter company, explains:

“The clients that we see today have a completely different outlook to those of five years ago. Clients are wising up to the cost of sharing their travel. It’s not always about finding the cheapest seat on a commercial airline. Dependent on the destination and booking, choosing a private jet or helicopter is often the smarter and more efficient way to travel. This is what so many of our clients are coming to favour.”

FlyMeNow credits social media and the increasing trend to share information between individuals having a significant impact on changing the perception often associated with choosing to fly private jet. The charter company believes that although online brokers have forced the competition to change their ways and stay competitive with their pricing, it is vital that brokers remember that the client is not always looking for the lowest costing Aircraft.

Andrew explains: “Most of our clients book last minute, whether it’s to the Monaco Grand Prix, a night in Ibiza or to an international music festival. What people are realizing now is that choosing to fly the same day on a commercial flight does not

always make financial sense. Especially when a major international event is planned at a specific destination, with the cost of the seat often sky-rocketing from its usual charge.”

The private jet and helicopter charter company has found that the majority of its enquires choosing to fly with the FlyMeNow this summer are looking to attend one of the international sporting and music events happening across the world over the next three months.

Andrew adds: “As runways and roads struggle to cope with the high demands of the traffic over the summer months, clients choose us as an easy, stress-free solution that can get them to their destination within hours of their first enquiry. In a post-recession nation, people aren’t always looking for the cheap option, they want efficiency, transparency in cost and value and most importantly, a high quality, dedicated service.”

Earlier this year, FlyMeNow launched the industry’s first ever music and entertainment division, created solely to provide specialist attention and service to the hugely expanding entertainment market. Covering everything from major sporting events to transporting DJs and Artists between multiple, same-date shows. The division is a simple solution for all travel dilemmas as well as full tour planning, built around experience.

Elliot Bottomley, who heads up the new division explains the demands for the service: “The idea of the exclusive division was to provide a direct and efficient solution for Artists in need of a flight to their next destination within their specified time frame. For many massive, global music events, a helicopter charter can be essential for acts that need to meet a tight time slot. It really can be the only reliable option, especially when the nearest airport is potentially miles away.

“Plus, a serious delay caused by a commercial flight can have a knock on effect for the rest of the Artist’s busy schedule. A prime example is Ibiza Airport, with 85 percent of its total annual flights coming in from June to September, causing serious delays on a daily basis. So for the DJ who is booked on a commercial flight but is now stuck in a Spanish airport, FlyMeNow acts as not only a luxury solution but also an emergency solution.”

Renowned for its high quality service, FlyMeNow has already built up a strong reputation across the music, entertainment and sport sectors. Specialising in private jet and helicopter transport for globally recognised Artists and events, including all major sports and music events for summer 2014.
